2011 FORMULA 1 UBS CHINESE GRAND PRIX (Shanghai) - The Feast!

As always, we outdo ourselves. Then again, Chinese food is not exactly foreign to us, so here's the feast we had!

Starting off.... Pork knuckles.... definitely chinese!!!
Balancing all the calories, cucumber salad
Another very chinese dish, siew yuk!
 More balancing act..... more greens...!
 My attempt at Cashew Chicken...
 The 'customary' 'Siew-mai'
Buns as the alternative to rice...
How can we not have rice! Cantonese fried-rice
 And...the Feast!!
A very delicious dessert ... Mango with Rice Pudding
A slight deviation from the theme... Some sweets from Thailand....

Once again... an excellent meal!

2011 FORMULA 1 UBS CHINESE GRAND PRIX (Shanghai)

Firstly, apologies for the lateness in this. Since the F1 fraternity is on leave, I decided to do the same! ;-)

Anyway, the Bulls have finally been stopped by the Silver cars! Unfortunately, no sight of the Red Horses anywhere... bummer! For once, Pole Position didn't win the race although Seb V didn't do too badly with 2nd. Nevertheless, it's a very long season. After all, it's just the 3rd race.

The results of our little league as follows :

2011 FORMULA 1 PETRONAS MALAYSIA GRAND PRIX (Kuala Lumpur) - The Makan

While a member of our little group is busily munching on kim-chee, our tradition continues, this time for no other than our very own Malaysian food!!! There is so much to choose from but we decided on a 'light' menu but by no means a simple one : the ever popular Assam Laksa!!

Here's what we had ..

Simple fried mee-hoon for the kids ..
Ingredients for the dish... very important fish..
How can we go without chillies..!!
An overview of all the ingredients...
 Putting it all together....
Viola...!!! Our very own Assam Laksa.... & it was simply delicious!!
This is the giant version of the above bowl! (I had this!) ;-)
Finally... !! We were supposed to have this for last year's race - The Pulut Hitam with Santan....

Thanks all for the great meal.... it was absolutely delicious. There is nothing like our very own Malaysian food.

2011 FORMULA 1 PETRONAS MALAYSIA GRAND PRIX (Kuala Lumpur)

So... despite the heat... the bulls continue to charge! Admittedly, SV did a fantastic job with the qualification although I would still maintain that if he hadn't gotten pole, the story could be quite different.

The McLarens are also beginning to show their true colours & once again, as suspected, LH just doesn't do well with taking care of his tyres. This is clearly evidenced when compared to JB who managed to get 3rd despite qualifying 4th.

Ferrari continue to struggle and it looks like 2010 all over again (Bummer!). One can only hope that things will turn around once the troop gets back to Europe.

BTW, for those unaware, FA & LH received a 20s penalty for 2 separate incidents, which changes our league results a little. Results as follows :

2011 FORMULA 1 QANTAS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX (Melbourne) - The Grub

So, in continuation of our 'tradition', Australia just simply shouts bar-b... so here's what we had :

Chicken & sausages....
 More chicken & sausages

Bar-b-q-ed vegs... got to try & balance out those calories!
Plenty mushrooms??
 More balancing act....!
 Back to chicken & sausages!!!
Fish & cuttlefish...... yummy!!
Not much left... but this was supposed to pork ribs! More yummy!!
 Dessert time... bar-b-q bananas

More balancing act required.... a fruity dessert!
The obligatory marshmallow!

That's enough of calories inducing supplement. I cannot imagine Sepang to be any 'better'!

Till then... cheerio mate!!

2011 FORMULA 1 QANTAS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX (Melbourne)

 And so it begins mate.....!!!

It's almost as if this was a continuation from last season, Red Bull continues to charge forward! Given the gap that Seb V has over the other drivers, it might be a sign of things to come. Then again... hopefully not!!

As always, Melbourne is never really a good indication of what might be, after all, it is going to be long season. Nevertheless, Seb V continues to prove his World Champion caliber & the rest of us (who may not be an SV fan) can only hope things will be different in the coming races.

Nonetheless, we do have new members to our little league & the results as follows :
