Despite Interlagos not necessarily an exciting track, the unpredictable weather definitely played a part in making this quite a thrilling race!
It did seemed it was race over when SV had a shunt (completely his fault!) at the first lap but amazingly no significant damage to the car and he made up from last to 6th to take the 2012 F1 Drivers Championship. Arguably though, FA perhaps could be just as deserving as champion for having to manage what was essentially (quoting Steve Slater) a shopping cart around the track!
He did managed to do quite well throughout the season except for the unfortunate incidents at Spa & Suzuka which really is when the championship was lost.
Nevertheless, nothing should be taken away from SV as he did drove a champions race.
Let's not forget JB who is proving to be quite the rainmaster for having to go around with a somewhat damp track. LH was doing well until the incident with NH, but I do feel he didn't deserve the drive-through penalty as it was quite clearly a race incident. Then again, I'm not the race stewart!
Anyway, that's it for 2012. F1 championship over, and so is our little league. Results as follows :
