One thing we discussed last year is that while SV is a double world champion, we've always maintained that when he has to come from the back, it's not something he can do very well and this race was no exception. In fact, for his collision with Karthikeyan, he called the fella a banana...... frankly I think SV is a bigger one!
Most of his colleagues actually thought it was a racing incident but FIA saw fit to penalise NK after SV went crying to them, which I personally think that it was unfair. Nevertheless, it wouldn't have made any different anyway.
As for the other world champions, I think they all did very well despite the results. FA clearly had to nurse the galloping (not prancing!) horse to win the race which was great! LH was the next best champion with the Ice Man cooly got in at 5th. Then MS who was unfortunately nudged out by RG managed to at least get a point but JB, despite his repeated fastest laps, couldn't catch up with the pack after running into NK, no less.
All it all, quite an exciting race despite the roughly 1 hour Red Flag due to the rain. Then again, without the rain, it wouldn't have been the race that it was.
