JB is back at his element grabbing pole and oddly, LH was down at a 7th with FA at 5th and SV at 10th! However, this was irrelevant at the very start of what was a crazy race, at the first corner no less. No thanks to that crazy psycho Frenchman RG when decided he wanted to try out some gymnastics perhaps with the Olympics still fresh in his mind!
For the record, he has caused crashes 7 times so far during this season!! This is by far the worst and for his 'adventures', he has been given a one race ban. It's about time!!!
In addition, Maldonado was given a double grid penalty for firstly, having itchy feet and jumped the start and apparently also for causing a collision with Timo Glock.
So with about 5 drivers out, especially with FA & LH out, it was down to JB, SV to fight out it. In the end, JB prevail, actually, he was literally alone for the whole race!!
KR made a bit of a fight but eventually, SV managed to fight his way up to 2nd place. A special mention for MS for his 300th GP start! Started at 7th, finish at 7th, so not bad at all!
